2013/14 club officials - announcement

05 Jul 2013

In excited anticipation of season 2013/2014, OWFC is very proud to announce that Dave Prichard will take on the role of 1s Captain and Fred Blackett will be 2s Captain. Taro Kiley will continue to help out the 1s as Vice Captain and Charlie Morgan will step up to be 2s Vice Captain. So the club structure will be as follows:

Chairman - John Hornby

1XI - Captain: Dave Prichard, Vice Captain: Taro Kiley

2XI - Captain: Fred Blackett, Vice Captain: Charlie Morgan

Match Secretary - Jamie Rann

Social Media Secretary - Ed Duncan

Treasurer - Tom Vernon

May OWFC take this opportunity (which in honesty should have been done a year ago but better late than never!) to thank firstly Elliot Stevens (Binge) for his long serving stint as Match secretary, working tirelessly each week with the league to make the games happen. The match secretary is a selfless role which allows all of us to actually play so please thank Binge and also wish Jamie the best of luck in the role after a great debut season. Secondly, to Chris Webbe for overseeing 2 consecutive seasons of promotions for the 2s and ensuring that the club remains a 2 team club, allowing double the number of football loving OWs to be involved week in week out.

And lastly, certainly not least, Tom Vernon for 5 years of absolutely sterling work in organizing and holding together so many different parts of this club on such a consistent basis and being a huge contributor to last season's Arthur Dunn Cup Final run. I think we all agree that over time no one has put more into the club than this chap (admittedly closely followed by Ed Neale's missionary trips to Brazil!).

The 2013/2014 schedule & Harry Cripps date will be out very shortly. If you know any players keen to join please let dave.prichard@gmail.com or any of the above club officials know and we will gladly welcome them. We all very much look forward to a successful year of football with you next season.
